Sew Much To Learn!

This month we were honoured to be the grand prize sponsors of the Aussie Sewalong, and were asked to share some sewing knowledge with the group - it's so wonderful to trade tips and tricks with others in the sewing community!

It got us thinking, neither of us claim to be expert seamstresses by any means, and we often refer to online tutorials to learn new skills.

The problem we often find though is that the tutorials aren't clear, go on for too long, or use foreign terminology that can cause even more confusion.

We're thrilled to announce the launch of the Rubyjam Fabric YouTube channel - where you can find all the existing Product Preview videos (they are featured in the product listings on the website and show the stretch, drape, and scale of each fabric) as well as a range of new Tutorial videos.

The tutorials so far focus on all things elastic, which was the focus of our knowledge sharing for the Sewalong group, but will expand over time to demonstrate any skill we think will be beneficial to others, or is requested through the group. And that brings us to the other benefit of this new resource - if you have any additional questions or comments on the video, you can always find us in the Facebook group to chat about it further and receive additional guidance.

Like we said, we are in no way professional sewists, but we love learning from others and the opportunity to help further the skills within the community is what keeps us doing what we love!

Check out the videos, subscribe to the channel and tell us what you think, we can't wait to hear your feedback!
